About the Author

Clemens Rektor is a business & finance enthusiast and living in the multifaceted city of Dortmund, where the beauty of nature melts with the abandoned buildings of the coal and steel industries of the last century.

During his free time, he is excited about learning how the modern world of business and finance is intertwined and impacts the daily lives of almost every human being on the planet.

Besides his interest in business-related matters, he’s been an avid Muay Thai kickboxing practitioner for more than ten years, and his affection for fine cuisine seems to be quite an essential source of revenue for the local food industry.

Clemens is passionately engaged in working for an investment firm based in Frankfurt and is responsible for managing infrastructure investments for institutional clients.

Purpose

This website is intended to be a place for the exchange of ideas between people, as well as an opportunity for growing interpersonal relationships.

It is supposed to act as some kind of logbook to structure my ideas and make them visible, for everyone to criticise them. One particular advantage is, that they can not be relativised afterwards and must have been thought out thoroughly beforehand.

The primary aim is to further carve out my thought process and incorporate as many opposing views as possible. The more opposition and critique I am going to face, the better.

Hopefully this project is going to be a tremendous failure I can learn a lot from.

“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.”

– Denis Waitley
